A massive leak of more than 700 military documents, attributed to infamous transparency group WikiLeaks, was released Sunday night. Much of the new information deals with detainees held in Guantanamo Bay, records that begin immediately after the September 11 terrorist attacks and range to 2009, including documents relating to 172 prisoners still held at the controversial detention facility.

Here are seven shocking revelations about Guantanamo Bay and the practices there.
One hundred twenty-seven “high risk” prisoners remain at Guantanamo Bay, but almost as many “high risk” prisoners have been released to other countries or freed, despite being described as “likely to pose a threat.” Of the 600 detainees known to have been transferred out of the prison since 2002, 160 fell under the “high risk” categorization, according to NPR. At least two dozen transferred “high risk” prisoners have been linked to terrorist activity since their Gitmo exit, including two Saudis who became leaders of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.

“There’s a group there that we all agree never gets let out, and then there’s the rest,” Rep. Mike Conaway (R-TX) said of Guantanamo detainees at a recent congressional hearing. “As you close on that number of folks who should not ever be let go, then you run the risk of letting somebody go who shouldn’t be.”

Officials aren’t sure what they’re doing. In 704 leaked documents assessing detainees, the word “possibly” appears 387 times, “unknown” 188 times and “deceptive” 85 times. Two conflicting committees from the Department of Defense worked at the facility and clashed frequently over how to classify prisoners’ threat levels and the quality of information they shared.

While some “high risk” prisoners have returned to terrorism, still others have become U.S. allies. A former Gitmo detainee whose files identify him as “a probable member of al-Qaeda,” Abu Sufian Ibrahim Ahmed Hamuda bin Qumu, is now a key figure on the rebel side of the Libyan revolution, a leader of a rebel brigade in the northern part of the country. When Qumu was captured in Pakistan shortly after 9/11, he was considered an enemy of the United States. Now, he and the U.S. have a goal in common: unseat Gaddafi.

Why Investors Are Buying Silver As If There Is No Tomorrow

April 24, 2011

The price of silver has been absolutely exploding lately.  It has reached heights not seen since the Hunt Brothers attempted to corner the silver market over three decades ago.  But this time there are no Hunt Brothers to blame for the stunning rise in the price of silver.  So exactly why are investors buying silver as if there is no tomorrow right now?  Well, the truth is that there are a lot of reasons.  Investors have been flocking to precious metals such as gold and silver as the value of paper currencies has declined.  The euro is incredibly weak right now and the U.S. dollar appears to be on the verge of a major collapse.  In fact, the entire financial system is highly unstable right now.  In such an environment, investors seek some place safe to park their money, and right now gold and silver are seen as safe harbors.  But gold and silver have not been going up in price at the same pace.  So why is silver outperforming gold so significantly?

The price of silver has increased by more than 150% over the past 12 months.  But the price of gold has only gone up about 30%.

If you invested $100 in the S&P 500 ten years ago it would be worth about $107.48 today.

If you invested $100 in gold ten years ago it would be worth about $569 today.

If you invested $100 in silver ten years ago it would be worth about $1037 today.

Clearly something is going on with silver.

Many people are convinced that this is part of a correction that is long overdue.  Geologists tell us that there is approximately 17.5 times as much silver in the crust of the earth as there is gold.  But today the price of an ounce of gold is about 30 times higher than the price of an ounce of silver.

Radioactive Currents and Winds

April 24, 2011

There are all kinds of nuclear materials coming out of that Japanese plant but only a few of them are being measured. We hear about radioactive iodine and caesium but nothing about tritium, uranium and plutonium particles, which are especially dangerous because they are alpha emitters. It’s kind of like the official weather services reporting on hail but never on rain, snow or sleet.

In fact things are so bad in Japan you have to hunt for news about it. The main news outlets are covering it up, I imagine, so as to not cause a panic. You know something is seriously wrong when they stop reporting on an ongoing event of such seriousness and instead fill up the airways with trivia. It does seem today that finding the best credit card is more important than news of nuclear Armageddon happening on our beautiful planet.

What is radiation but a wind that blows our lives to a hastier end? Radiation is the death principle and as levels increase our lives are shortened. One can now shorten one’s life to a day simply by stepping inside one of those doors in the reactor buildings in Japan. Two hundred miles away radiation levels in Tokyo have gone up by a factor of 2.5. That means people who live there will now get, in ten years, what they would have gotten in 25 and that is only if the contamination does not get worse. The radiation detector above marks 0.6 micro-sieverts, exceeding normal levels near the Shibuya train station in Tokyo.

Laboratory Beauty vs. Homegrown Beauty

April 23, 2011

”I was first to break the news about the death of Lady Diana. The CNN team couldn’t get into makeup fast enough,” said Matt Drudge.
Every morning millions of women wake up and enhance their looks by applying make-up. How many of these women actually know what it is they are rubbing into their skin, lips and around their eyes? For if they knew, would they feel differently about it? Many make-up companies do not list the ingredients on their packaging and if they do, which is rare, have fun identifying what those ingredients are. If you’re curious to know what it is you’re rubbing into your skin and absorbing into your bloodstream, you will find many of those ingredients toxic and extremely harmful to your health, skin and vitality, even in small doses. In the long run, wearing these toxic ingredients will only make your appearance and health worse.

A new study on teenagers and toxic chemicals was released by the Environmental Working Group (EWG), and it has some very disturbing implications. Laboratory tests revealed that adolescent girls across America are contaminated with chemicals commonly used in cosmetics and body care products. The study of 20 teens found an average of 13 different hormone-altering chemicals in their bodies. Think of what these chemicals can do in women who have been wearing make-up for decades.

What Does Comet Elenin’s Arrival Herald?

April 21, 2011

Eight things there be a comet brings,

When on high it doth horrid range:

Wind, famine, plague, and death to kings;

War, earthquakes, floods,

And direful change.

— From an old German poem.

“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;” – the Bible

Elenin cometh.

A lot of talk about this interplanetary body heading our way. It’s charted to pass around the sun and close to the earth this fall. And NASA, aka “Never A Straight Answer”, says hardly anything. With all their fancy equipment they couldn’t pick it up, but some obscure astronomer from Russia does?

Here’s its trajectory and timetable in a snapshot:

Allignments are always significant

I don’t care what you say about astrological misgivings…this is important. Celestial bodies pull on each other and things happen. Just a full moon sways our oceans, affects menstrual cycles and changes moods. What do you think major galactic events will precipitate?

Japan – US government takes down HAARP website to conceal evidence of US weather modification and earthquake inducing warfare

April 19, 2011

The HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) website has been down for the past 3 weeks. It was ordered taken down by the US government to conceal US weather modification and earthquake inducing warfare activities against foreign states. The HAARP website was publishing very damaging evidence of US military weather modification and earthquake triggering operations against foreign states. HAARP’s waterfall charts and magnetometer charts gave evidence of an ongoing weather war between the United States government and foreign states. The magnetometer presented concrete evidence that HAARP triggered the Japan earthquake and ensuing tsunami.

HAARP’s magnetometer can be used to predict as well as give evidence of a HAARP created earthquake. A magnetometer measures disturbances in the magnetic field in Earth’s upper atmosphere. HAARP was broadcasting a 2.5 Hz frequency (the signature frequency of an earthquake) from just before midnight on March 8, 2011 and continued to broadcast the frequency for the entire days of March 9, 2011 and March 10, 2011. The 2.5 Hz frequency continued to be broadcasted and recorded by the magnetometer for another 10 hours the day of the Japan 9.0 magnitude earthquake.
